Thursday 22nd October – Friday 23rd October 2015
Royal Institution – London, UK
No stranger to public speaking, Mark is embarking on perhaps the most ambitious live science show ever undertaken. In October 2015 he will be presenting his 24 Hour Space Spectacular at the Royal Institution in London! The event is being arranged in aid of Marie Curie and will take audiences on an ambitious and fascinating journey around the entire Universe in the time it takes the Earth to spin once on its axis. The shows will include stunning high resolution images and some great demonstrations along the way. Mark has even arranged for some well known friends to pop in and help him out during some of the shows.
During half term, and as a grand finale event for World Space Week, Mark will present 24 x 40 minute lectures on a whole host of topics from planets to exoploanets, stars to black holes and from the history of space travel to the fate of the Universe. Tickets will be sold for each of the shows throughout the 24 hour period and Mark hopes to raise in excess of £40,000 for charity.
